Description
Info
The ADAM 2 MOTOR is a safe and fun glider that is suitable for training, that a student can grow with. It was tested by our PPG test pilot, Italian champion Pasquale Biondo, and approved by the team at One-Up Adventures paragliding school in the US. They requested a wing that is super safe and “not a potato!” By which they mean it needs great handling, to be fast enough and fun to fly. The ADAM 2 MOTOR has a speed bar and trimmers with a decent speed range: everything a new pilot needs to learn skills that will transfer later to a more advanced glider. It is a ‘hybrid’ wing, having EN-A certification, which means it can also be used for free-flight training and flying, without the motor as well as paramotor flying. (The only difference between the ADAM 2 free-flight wing and ADAM 2 MOTOR is the riser set. With the Motor riser set, the trimmers must be fully closed for the EN-A certification to be valid.
Target
The ADAM 2 MOTOR is the perfect wing to accompany pilots in their discovery of this new sport, to quell the apprehension and promote the sense of freedom. But it’s not just for first steps. It is a safe and versatile partner to continue to explore the possibilities on: fly with a motor, or without; stay local or go XC and explore further afield. The ADAM 2 MOTOR is an easy, safe and versatile wing for soon-to-be club pilots or veterans, for paramotoring and free flying.
Designer’s notes
A low-stress wing, the ADAM 2 MOTOR is simple to launch and very roll stable. It has intuitive and fun BGD handling.
The ADAM 2 MOTOR incorporates several key technologies: Our trademark Progressive Stability means the center is the most resistant to deforming and the tips the least so there will be no nasty surprises in turbulent air. Chord Cut Billow technology is there too, reducing ballooning and eliminating wrinkles from the sail. The elliptical cell openings on the ADAM 2 MOTOR keep the bottom surface well tensioned. This gives it good inflation characteristics, and easy reinflation after a collapse.
Learning to fly can be tough on a wing, so the ADAM 2 MOTOR is made with durable materials. The top surface is high quality Dominico 30D, which was well proven on the original ADAM.
